Reel Tackle Box Review

One of the best memories that I have of my father is when he would take me fishing when I was little. There was a pond near our house, and we would go sit on the bank of the pond for hours at a time waiting on the fish to bite. Sometimes, we would take home a few fish, but most of the time, it was a chance to just talk to each other.

Now, I can keep the same memories alive with my own kids by using items I get from Reel Tackle Box. The subscription service sends a box each month of an assortment of items I can use when I go fishing. The service has been featured on some of the most well-known sporting channels and websites, which means that the products available are usually highly recommended and of the best quality. 

Getting Started

Signing up for a subscription is easy and can be completed in a few steps. There are no knock offs that you have to worry about as most of the items that come in the box are from name brands. I've never had an issue with anything breaking or any issues with the quality of the products in my boxes.

When you enter your information to sign up for a subscription, you'll choose the type of box that you want and how often you want it delivered. Most boxes are delivered once a month. You can send a subscription as a gift if you don't want to keep it for yourself.

Types Of Boxes

There are a few different types of boxes that you can choose from depending on how much money you want to spend and how many items you want in each one. The Big Bass Box is probably the most popular as it comes with the most items inside. There is also a Big Bass Mini box that has similar contents but not as many.

There are catfish boxes, crappie boxes, boxes for fly fishing, and a striper box. All of the items that are in each box are designed for that type of fish or that type of fishing adventure. You won't get a lot of reading material as the company tries to include things that go in the water instead of things that will sit on a table.

Each box that I have received has arrived in a timely manner. The box is brown and has a large fish and rod on the front as well as an outdoor scene. Items that are inside have lasted for months and still function just as they did when they first arrived.

Items that are included in the boxes can usually be used in freshwater or saltwater. There is an assortment of lures so that you can choose which one you think would work better to try to catch the kind of fish that you want. I have started a new tackle box that includes an assortment of lures and reels that I have only received from Reel Tackle Box.

Payments

The company accepts an assortment of credit and debit cards. I have never had an issue with my card being used, but as with other companies, you need to monitor the receipts that you have to ensure that you are charged correctly. Also, keep track of the day that you place an order so that you have a good idea as to when your box might arrive.

Most of the time, I receive my box about a week after I place an order or after it's time for my subscription to be renewed each month. All I do is make a note on my calendar of when the new month starts so that I have a general idea as to when I should expect a box in the mail.

Customer Service

I've only had to contact customer service two times since I started receiving boxes from Reel Tackle Box. Each time has been pleasant as the person on the other end of the line has been very helpful. I do like sending emails better than calling so that I have a record of my conversation and the details that I receive from the company.

Affordable

If I were to go to a sporting goods store and get the same reels, lures, and other fishing items that I get in my boxes, I would likely spend a few hundred dollars. When I complete my payment for the company, I pay less than $50 most of the time unless I order a few boxes at once.

Sometimes, I will order a few different boxes so that I have a variety of fishing supplies. This is what I did when I first subscribed because I knew that I wanted to try to build a decent tackle box with items I could take fishing.

Other Merchandise

Not only does Reel Tackle Box sell reels and lures, but you can also purchase rods and other supplies that are needed for your fishing adventure. There are marine maps and electronic devices that make finding your location a bit easier.

Coolers are available that are beneficial to have on hand so that you have somewhere to store your fish until you can get them home. The company sells clothing and fishing gear to wear to protect your clothes, such as gloves and boots. There is an assortment of rods, and I have even found one for my son so that he can fish as well.

These items bring back the memories I have of fishing with my own father, which is why I am thrilled to have a subscription to Reel Tackle Box.

I would recommend this company if you enjoy fishing as you can get anything that you need to get started or to continue with your fishing adventures instead of going to a store to get what you need.
