Warriors Tackle Supply Review

warriors tackle supply review

Everyone who knows me knows that I like to fish.

It's really more than just a hobby - it's a big part of who I am.

As such, I tend to spend a lot of time looking at fishing gear

I want to make sure that I have the right equipment when I'm on the water, and I really don't want to get stuck wasting money on something I don't need.

As you can imagine, I tend to approach subscription boxes with a little bit of caution.

I know they can be a lot of fun, but I don't want to accumulate gear that I can't use.

Still, I chose to invest in the Warriors Tackle Supply box because I'd heard good things and I wanted to see what it was all about.

Luckily for me, this box is a lot of fun.

It's definitely enough to keep me engaged, even if I know that not every product is meant exactly for my kind of fishing.

If you take a closer look at what the box is and what's included, though, you'll get a much better idea of whether or not you're going to be a fan of Warriors Tackle Supply.

What is It?

Warriors Tackle Supply is a box for fisherman, particularly those who are looking for a new tackle to add to their boxes.

It's definitely a box for a dedicated crowd - there aren't a lot of toys or 'lifestyle' items included here, since the box's focus is also on fishing.

It's also a good idea to remember that this is a box that supports a cause.

Warriors Tackle Supply supports wounded veterans, sending a dollar of every shipped box to organizations like the Wounded Warrior Project.

It's really rare to see a subscription box that actually supports a cause, so it's nice to note that your money is going to go somewhere good if you choose to invest in this one.

What's in the Box?

As you might expect, this box is almost entirely dedicated to tackle.

As far as I'm concerned, that's an excellent thing - too many fishing and hunting boxes claim that they're about the sport but they end up filling your box with snacks instead of things that you can actually use.

It's just one way that the box stands out, but it's honestly one of the most important.

No matter what level of box you get - and there are three - you're going to get a good selection of different lures.

The company lets you pick your particular fish of choice when you sign up, but you're still going to get a good selection of lures that are reasonably good for fishing for a few species that are outside of your usual range each month.

Most of what you're going to get here are plastic bait.

That's not exactly ideal, but it's also pretty understandable.

You will get at least a couple of hard baits, which is excellent - I've found each of them that have been included to be of very high quality and they definitely have a home in my tackle box.

Depending on the month and the size of box you get, you're also going to wind up with some swag.

It's the usual stuff you get in fishing boxes, though - t-shirts and hats.

The t-shirts fit well and they feel like they're of fairly high quality, but the hats are the real standout.

There's a reason, I guess, that you get the option to order a hat when you sign up.

Taken together, the box is really as good as advertised.

The only problem you're going to have is probably going to be if you really hate plastic bait, but that's still better than what you're going to get from almost anywhere else.

This is, in short, a really excellent box.

How Much Does it Cost?

Like many of the other subscription services around today, Warriors Tackle Supply does believe in giving its members choices.

At the moment, there are three tiers of box - Standard, XL, and Pro.

The Standard kit contains the least amount of items, while the Pro is fairly full of different lures and accessories.

In terms of pricing, you're looking at a fairly standard curve here.

The Standard is going to run about $19.99 per month plus tax, while the XL is around $26.99 per month before tax.

The Pro is $42.99 per month plus tax.

All of these prices are discounted, though - you're going to pay fifteen percent more if you choose not to get a monthly subscription.

You definitely need to look at the value proposition when it comes to subscription boxes.

Luckily, Warrior Tackle Supply is very transparent with what you should expect to get.

Standard boxes have a minimum of $35 dollars worth of items inside, while the XL has at least $50 and the Pro has at least $70 worth inside.

What's The Verdict

This is a really excellent box for the vast majority of people who love to fish.

There are probably some minor complaints that you could make, but they're really just nitpicks at this point.

The box has virtually no filler and has some great items inside, and it's really hard to ask for more than that.

Coupled with the fact that the box supports a good cause, it quickly becomes a no-brainer to subscribe to this one.

It's one of the best fishing boxes on the market and one that's definitely worth more than just a look.

Pros

  • Three good price points
  • Really great value in the box
  • Hard baits are amazing
  • Has a great cause
  • Almost no filler

Cons

  • A lot of the good stuff is at higher price points
  • Can be too many plastic baits
  • Not perfect for all types of fishing
